Every time I play a mkv file I get no sound, only video. I have to right click on the screen and go to audio > audio channels > select something other than stereo then the sound works. This is does not happen for all mkv files, I have noticed that it only happens to mkv files with the a52 audio codec. I have rest the settings, uninstalled vlc, delete the remaining folders and then reinstalled it afterwards but no luck. I am running windows xp home sp3 with a sound blaster X-Fi Xtreme audio sound card. Vlc version 1.1.11. Also I am using k-lite codec pack 7.5.0. Does anyone know how to fix this?
