Hi, how to fix iTunes error 4001 while iTunes Match collecting information? i update to iTunes 10.5.1 and sign for itunes match... When I started iTunes Match, all I get is the error 4001. It stops and won't continue. I have turned my mac lion 10.7.2 on and off, restarted iTunes, and updated genius. what do I do? how can fix get iTunes error 4001 when itunes match is gathering information?
Answer:
I got error message 4001 when trying to upload music to imatch too.
Deauthorize your computer and then reauthorize it.
Click "Store" > deauthorize
then
Store > authorize
It work for me at least on OS X. I was having the same problem until I did this.
